HIV/AIDS Care

In 2005, YWAM began a Home-Based Care Program for People Living with HIV/AIDS at the request of the Stung Treng Provincial Health Director.

Care with Dignity

We help families to provide care with dignity at the community level.

Hospital Care

Support and care for AIDS patients in the Provincial Hospital.

Hospital Sanitizing

Two staff help care for patients in the AIDS ward, and clean it , so that the medical staff will come treat the patients.

Supplies and Training

We provide basic supplies and training in how to safely care for a person who is sick with HIV / AIDS.

Food

Provide food for impoverished families.

Counseling

We offer counseling and advice regarding: nutrition, staying healthy and how to prevent transmission.

Medicine Referrals

Assist with referral to health services for Anti-Retroviral drugs or treatment of Opportunist Infections.

Reduce Misinformation

We are helping to reduce misinformation that leads to discrimination of these victims.

Home Visits

Visit homes to encourage and/or refer People Living with HIV to the hospital.

Our ‘Friend Helps Friend’ monthly support group

HIV Advice and Support

Provides a place for People Living with HIV to support one another at regular meetings, share problems and concerns, and share advice, as well as receiving some education.

Preparing for the Future

Help parents prepare for their children’s future after they are gone.

Grief Support

Provide children with education, counseling, and help dealing in with the death of their parents.
